The demo producer bootcamp

LENGTH: This is a 4 video course.

WHAT YOU WILL LEARN: you will learn the A to Z on going from a blank Logic Pro Session to a fully-produced demo. From programming your tracks (and understanding how to build nuance into your programming) to the fundamentals of recording the audio needed to make your demos (vocals, acoustic guitars, electric guitars, etc.) to the basics of mixing your tracks to sound like you want them to.

WHAT YOU RECEIVE: Beyond the actual training, you will receive a Logic Pro Template that will become the basis of all your demos.

WHAT IT TAKES: You choose which day is best for you: Monday or Wednesday. For 4 videos, we will go IN-DEPTH on making your demos. Each video, you’ll be given a project to complete. You and Chris will set up 2 one-on-ones via Facetime at your convenience, and his schedule. So in total, it’s 8 hours of in-person class time, homework (probably an average of 3-5 hours of work per week making a demo of one of YOUR songs), and a two 45 min one-on-one consultation with Chris.

REQUREMENTS: A Mac computer + Logic Pro X (all of the teaching will be in Logic + the Template using all stock plugins will be in Logic) + a recording interface + a MIDI Keyboard + at least one decent microphone. Things you should probably have too, depending on the kind of music: an acoustic guitar + an electric guitar + a subscription to Splice. These things are not necessary, but can be helpful.

WHAT IT COSTS: The cost of the 4-video course is $350. The average cost of a demo being produced in Nashville is $500. In fact, that is what I typically charge per demo. For less than the cost of a demo, you’ll receive the skills to make your own demos and walk out after four weeks with four demos you created from scratch.

ADDITIONAL COSTS: I am offering to mix your demos for an additional $200/song (you could have me mix 1 or all 4 - depends on what you wanna do). Why would you do this? Well, I’m a professional producer and mixer and have been training for a long time. I have found that one of the best ways to learn is to compare what I do to what a pro does.
